Stronger Oregon is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible mental health services to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, creed, ethnicity, culture, national origin, ancestry, immigration status, age, disability, neurodiversity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, veteran status, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
We believe that equity in mental health care means actively removing barriers, respecting lived experiences, and honoring the dignity and autonomy of every person we serve. Our services are delivered in a manner that is inclusive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect for individual strengths, values, and identities.
Stronger Oregon does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion in any form. We are committed to continuous learning, accountability, and improvement to ensure our programs, policies, and practices promote fairness, belonging, and meaningful access to care for all communities.
From our earliest work in rural schools and communities in Douglas County, Stronger Oregon has been committed to ensuring that LGBTQIA+ individuals and families are safe, respected, and affirmed in accessing mental health care. We recognize the unique barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ youth and adults in rural settings and have intentionally built programs, clinical practices, and school partnerships that protect confidentiality, promote dignity, and support each person’s right to be seen and supported without fear of judgment or exclusion.
At the same time, Stronger Oregon believes that equity means creating space for everyone. We intentionally cultivate a therapeutic environment where individuals and families across the full spectrum of beliefs, values, cultures, and identities—including those with deeply held faith traditions, such as Christian beliefs—can seek care with confidence and respect. Our clinicians do not impose beliefs, nor do we require clients to change their values to receive services. Care is grounded in clinical ethics, personal autonomy, and mutual respect.
Stronger Oregon is a place where no one must choose between their identity and their ability to receive care. All are welcome within our doors.
